Albany Business Computing Association {About Us}

The Albany Business Computing Association was founded by Jeremy Silver in January of 1996, as a professional organization at the State University of New York at Albany.  We have been succeeded by many students over the years.  ABCA has been Student Association recognized since 1996.  ABCA is an academic and career-oriented professional organization of college students interested in computing and its applications in the business environment.  ABCA generally attracts Business, Computer Science, Information Science, and Management Systems Information students, however all majors are welcome.  View or download our Constitution, Click Here.

ABCA enjoys staying in contact and updating ABCA members on newly scheduled events and happenings.  In March of 2001, an article about ABCA was published in the Albany Student Press entitled "Rapid Development for SUNY's Most Popular IT Related Student Organization".  We intend to continue on this successful path.

The main goals of ABCA are to help students:

-  Get exposure to the latest in Business/Computing technology

-  Develop enhanced Business/Communication skills

-  Establish professional connections and create a network of opportunities
-  Create a gateway for a smooth entrance into the professional carrer-oriented world
